Troubleshooting & best practices

• Microphone does not start: allow microphone permission and use HTTPS.
• No translation appears: refresh the page, check your internet connection, and ask the site owner to check provider configuration.
• Remote partner cannot join: confirm the link was copied completely and that the room has not expired.
• Speech playback causes repeated text: use headphones or turn Speech off and rely on captions.
• Translation is slow: reduce background noise, speak in shorter phrases, or use captions-first mode.

Captions are the most reliable experience. Spoken playback is optional and may vary by browser, device, and language.
